Notes for C. C. Jackson:
THE WESTMORELAND RECORDER 25 may 1944
C. C. Jackson went to St. Louis last week to attend the funeral of his
brother, Earl. Mrs. Jackson went as far as Kansas City with him and
visited their daughter, Mary. Before returning they attended the
graduation exercises of the eighth grade at Shawnee which is similar to a
college graduation except formals were used instead of caps and gowns.
After the exercises the class was entertained with a dance at the Quivera
Lake club house.
