Gertrude Scritchfield, daughter of James Taylor Scritchfield and Julia Whearty , was born March 11, 1881 in Westmoreland, Pottawatomie Co, Kansas. She died March 17, 1980 in Westmoreland, Pottawatomie Co, Kansas.

TAYLOR - SCRITCHFIELD
Ira Taylor and Miss Gertrude Scritchfield were married Wednesday of last
week at the home of the bride's parents. Rev. M. G. Hamm officiated. The
groom is a worthy young man, the only son of Mr and Mrs S. B. Taylor, who
live west of Westmoreland and are among our most prosperous farmers. The
bride is a daughter of Mr and Mrs J. T. Scritchfield of this city and is
an intelligent and popular young lady. The wedding ceremony was followed
by a bountiful supper. Many useful and valuable present s were received.

Ira Taylor, accompanied by his wife, was taken to the hospital in
Halstead, April 18 and operated upon for gallstones. Pneumonia developed
and he died at seven o'clock yesterday morning. Vern and Byron Taylor
and Mrs Gertrude Shehi, child and Mrs. Sam Ellis at sister were present
at the time of the operation. Funeral services will be held at the
Westmoreland M. E. church tomorrow, Friday at 2 p.m.
