Miss Gertrude Taylor and Howard Shehi were united in marriage Saturday at
9 o'clock p.m. at the home of the probate judge of Manhattan. They were
accompanied by the sister and uncle of the groom, Miss Geneva Shehi and
Dan Maskil. The bride wore an Alice Blue ensemble and the groom a navy
blue suit.
Gertrude is a daughter of Mr and Mrs Ira Taylor and is a graduate of
Westmoreland rural high school and is an estimable young lady of pleasing
manner. Howard is the eldest son of Mrs. Katie Peters. He is a graduate
of W. R. H. S. of the class of 1928. He is an honest industrious young
man. The writer joins the many friends in wishing this young couple a
happy voyage of the seas of matrimony with just enough clouds in their
lives to make a beautiful sunset.
